The Molloy TV series is a comedy-drama about a middle-class Irish-American family in the suburbs of Chicago. It was created by Diane English, who later went on to create the hit show "Murphy Brown." The series aired on Fox from 1990 to 1991 and starred Mayim Bialik as the teenage daughter, Molloy. Other cast members included James Naughton as Molloy's father, Nancy Lenehan as her mother, and Alana Ubach as her twin sister. The show received positive reviews, but low ratings led to its cancellation after one season. Despite its short run, Molloy developed a devoted cult following and is remembered fondly by fans.
